Amazing Cartoon of Awesomeness

Cartoon Yourself
This project was quite difficult for me, due to the fact that I am a horrible artist. However I was able to complete this project with the use of (mostly) the pen tool. I also used the shape builder tool to connect different paths to make the cartoon version of myself not look as if he has been cut into many chunks. Surprisingly I found that the arms were the most difficult part of this project. I could never get them just the way that i wanted. Other than that I thought that this project was rather successful.

EL GUAPO ES INCREDIBLE

El Guapo Hot Sauce Ad
Original Ad

An updated ad with some changes to the bottle and the social media icons.

This project was interesting, the task was to create labels and an ad for a fictional hot sauce company entitled "El Guapo".  The most difficult part of this was making to labels seem as if they were part of the bottle.  The label itself was very simple  and took only about one day to create. This project over all was a success.

Illustrator Exercise

Adobe Illustrator Exercise
This was a simple Pen Tool exercise for Adobe Illustrator.  It was not difficult to complete and I would recommend it for anyone who has trouble with the Pen Tool.

30 Year Macintosh Anniversary

30 Years of Macintosh

This has been one of my favorite project so far for this semester. I used very simple design elements to create this "modern" style poster. I filled the background with circles to add contrast with the text, and around and behind the text i erased the circle to sort of highlight the words. I made the text get smaller as it went down the poster. The 30 is larger to enforce the idea that the Macintosh computers have been around for 30 years. I also used the old Apple slogan "Think Different" as a little homage to the company that has brought us great computers over the years.

FIT Poster

FIT Poster

This project was fairly simple. I used various methods in order to make the poster look just the way I wanted it to. The dollar signs around the graduate were done simply with the type tool, once that was complete I rasterized the layer and masked out the graduate so it would appear that the dollar signs were going behind the graduate. The images at the bottom were taken from the FIT website, and are of a few areas around the campus, including their Engineering Building. The gold border around the photos is simply an outer stroke.

Retro Poster

Retro Karting Poster

This project was a little more involved than some previous projects. For this project I needed to use Photoshop and Illustrator in order to obtain the correct look of the poster. In Illustrator I made the bottom banner using the rectangle tool, text tool and a warp to make the banner bend. For the top and bottom red banners I use a water color brush, then used the rectangle selection tool and elliptical selection tool to cut it off and make it look neat.

Christmas Post

Merry Christmas
This project was fairly simple, however it took a while to complete. I created the snowmen from multiple 3D layers all piled into one large snowman.  The 3D layers themselves were the most difficult part of the project, I had to get the shape of the snowmen just right otherwise the image would look odd in one way or another. Over all this was a fairly successful project.
