PLANE OF PLAINNESS AND AWESOMENESS

Plane Coming in for Landing
We were given this image of a plane and told to do something with it.

I chose to make the plane seem as if it were coming in for a landing.  To remove the plane from the original background I used the pen tool. I then used various adjustment layers to make it fit the image, then added a shadow to make it seem realistic. This project, compared to the more recent ones, was very easy and took really no time at all.

Giant Ego

Giant Ego
This composite project was very interesting. The tutorial was one of the better ones that we have used this year. The difficult part of this composite was the same as every composite, making  sure that the subject looked like she fit into the image. Making the selection of the model, as well as getting her hair to fit into the image was also challenging, however the tutorial explained everything well enough to where I could understand what to do.

Stone Portrait/Bust

Stone Bust
This, in my opinion, was one of the more interesting projects this year.  It wasn't too difficult per se, although getting some of the details to look like part of the image were difficult.  The water damage at the top of the bust was particularly difficult to get right. the only other concept that I struggled with was the lighting effects,  I found it hard to get the spot light to look the way I wanted it to. Other than those things I thought this was a great project.
